Zoom buys Liminal, an event production startup

Zoom Videoconferencing Platform announced Tuesday that it had acquired assets from Liminal Event Production StartupLiminal, a start-up company offering event production solutions based primarily on Zooms SDK, is Liminal.

Zoom will be joined by Jonathan Kokotajlo and Andy Carluccio, co-founders of Liminal.The company stated that "Liminal’s solutions, which include their ZoomOSC, ZoomISO and apps to bridge Zoom with emerging and traditional event control software and hardware, will help theaters and broadcast studios address complex technical production requirements and work together and create online effectively.

" Liminal software, among other features, can link multiple HD video streams from Zoom to high-quality hardware and applications.The company stated that they believe the platform will remain the most comprehensive and one-stop hybrid event management solution in the marketplace by adding these capabilities.

It added that "We will cover all aspects of the value chain, including broadcasting, editing and creative production.We also offer fully customizable live events with pre-event planning and in-event management.
