Houston (USA), Nov 27, : Manika Batra, an Ace Indian paddler, reached the quarter-finals of the mixed and womens doubles divisions at the World Table Tennis Championships Finals 2021 hereBatra and G Sathiyan, her mixed doubles partner, came back from two games behind to beat Wang Manyu of China and Kanak Jha of USA 3-2 (15-17.

12, 10-12.10, 11-10, 11-6.11-7) in an exciting Round 16 encounter.They will now take on Japans Hina Harimoto and Tomokazu Hiraimoto, the world No 20 mixed-doubles pair, in the final eight.

Manika and Archana Kamath defeated Dora Madarasz of Hungary and Georgina Pota 3-1 (11-4), 11-9, 6-11 and 11-7, respectively) to set up a quarterfinal match against Sarah de Nuette or Xia Ni of Luxembourg.The other Indian mixed doubles team of Sharath Kamal & Archana Kamath lost in the round 16 to the French pair Yuan Jia Nan 0-3 (4-11-8-11, 5-11).
