New Delhi, Aug 20 : Google Pixel smartphone users were left in a state of confusion after downloading Android 13 as several of them were unable to charge wirelessly after installing the most recent operating system (OS).The Pixel users complained on the discussion forums on Reddit that wireless charging had stopped working nearly immediately following the Android 13 upgrade.
The issue is affected by a variety of Pixel models, including the Pixel 6 series however, the most notable are the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL as reported by 9to5Google.
For Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners, this could be an more of a problem since they’re not permitted to return to Android 12 after upgrading to Android 13.
Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 owners can go back to Android 12.
Google has not yet released an update to fix this issue.
People affected reported that the issue occurred regardless of the charger used.
A few Pixel users reported that changing settings, such as Adaptive Charging and “forgetting” the Pixel Stand can fix the issue , but this was not confirmed by other users.
Prior to that there was a problem that certain Google Fi users cannot access the Rich Communication Services (RCS) to connect to their Pixel phones after installing Android 13.
Some users have experienced this issue since Android 13 Beta and already submitted a bug report.
