If sexual exploitation charges are proved, Minister will be fired: Goa CM

Panaji, Dec 8, : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Seeant said Wednesday that he would fire any minister from his Cabinet if he is found guilty of sexual exploitation of his Ministers.

Anybody can make political accusations to get publicity and as part strategy for elections which are near," Sawant said to reporters at a Panaji press conference "If any person has evidence or can identify the perpetrator of the atrocity, they should file a complaint.If the victim of the atrocity files a formal complaint, I will 100 percent take action.

"Until now, no one has filed any complaint," the Chief Minister stated.Chodankar had claimed that a minister in the BJP-led coalition government had sexually exploited a woman.

He also claimed that Chief Minister Pramod Seeant was using Goa Police to destroy evidence in the case.Chodankar claimed that he had seen audio, video and WhatsApp messages in which the minister suggested sexual exploitation to a woman.

Chodankar also stated that if the BJP coalition government failed to take action against the Minister, then the party would release the evidence in public domain before Prime Minister Narendra Modis planned visit to Goa on Dec 19 "In this state, women have rights.If such atrocities have occurred to them, they should file a complaint.Let the complaint come.

As a Home Minister, I will order an investigation.Sawant added, "I am firm on it," Sawant said.
