Patna Nov 26 : .Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Sharma stated Friday that the liquor ban in the state will continue and that there is no way to roll back prohibition.
Nitish Kumar addressed a gathering at the “Nasha Mukti Diwas” programme in Gyan Bhavan, here.He said: “The Liquor Prohibition Law in Bihar was imposed in 2016 on women’s demand.Although we had initially placed a partial ban in rural areas, women from urban areas demanded that the ban be extended to all areas.

He said that the decision was made after an all-party meeting.

Those who point fingers at the decision should remember that meeting.

On this occasion, 3.5 million employees from the government and the private sector took an oath to not consume alcohol for the rest of the life.

The Chief Minister justifiably ordered police to enter public places, including the rooms of brides in wedding halls.

He said, “Police will inspect any place in the State where liquor consumption could possibly be possible.”

“I was a school-going student and had an allergy to drunken men.I knew that I would stop people from drinking alcohol at any stage in my life.Liquor can be a dangerous substance.

It can cause serious health problems and can even lead to death,” said the JD(U), leader.

Bihar is a shining example of how liquor can kill lives.

Anyone who drinks illegal substances like liquor would die.Twenty seven percent of road accident victims are drunk.He said that 18% of those involved in quarrels, and 17% of those who commit suicide around the globe were drunk.
