San Francisco, Aug 21 : After launching a number of brand new features in the past year, the Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp is now rolling out the ability to view Status directly from WhatsApp’s chat list to iOS users.According to WABetaInfo the beta version 22.18.0.70 will allow users to view status updates in the chat list.It was released to beta testers only, however, it is not yet accessible to all users.
Utilizing this feature that is similar to Stories users can upload videos and photos which are deleted after 24 hours.
Recently, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced three new privacy features on WhatsApp giving users more control over their chats.
They also added layers of security when communicating.
Screenshot blocking was one of the features that was being developed for WhatsApp beta version for iOS and was not discovered yet on Android beta on the WhatsApp beta tracker website WABetaInfo.
If the recipient attempts to take a picture to look at images and videos the screenshot will be blocked however the sender won’t receive any notification.
However, a person can still take photographs with a second camera or mobile phone.
