C. According to Xinhua, White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz stated that “the White House follows CDC guidance” and recommended masking areas with high transmission.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is still substantial community transmission in Washington DC.There are currently about 90 cases of new disease per 100,000 people.
Muriel Bowser, D.C.Mayor, announced last week that she would not be carrying out the mandate but said wearing masks was still an important part of her job.
According to the city authorities, this has changed from an all-encompassing mandate to follow DC Health’s risk-based guidance.This takes into account current health indicators and vaccination status.
