Such are the conditions prevailing in our neighbouring nation.Surprisingly, West Indian cricket former captain Darren Sammy does not think so.

According to official sources, Darren Sammy is applying for Pakistan citizenship.Darren Sammy is currently captaining Peshawar Zilma side in the Pakistan Cricket League.

Javed Afridi, owner of Peshawar Zalmi, will hand over the form to the respective government officials.‘It is a matter of time before the Government accepts West Indies Cricket former Captain Darren Sammy’s citizenship request.

This process should not take more than 3-4 weeks’, an official source confirmed.

This is not the first time an international cricketer appealing for citizenship of another country.

Nevertheless, this would probably be the first and the last time a cricketer would be applying for a Pakistan Citizenship.
