Surprise for the wedding day: A Thief runs with jewellery worth Rs 2cr

The excitement surrounding a destination wedding in Maharashtra turned tense when a man "introduced" himself to the brides family.

He ran away with jewellery valued at Rs 2 crore from a five star hotel here.This shocked the brides family on FridayThe brides family had booked more than 40 rooms at this five-star hotel.

Unknown person entered the hotel and introduced himself as a family member.He then took the key from the lobby.

He managed to get into one of the rooms where he stole the jewelry and fled.The family of the bride had traveled from Maharashtra to Jaipur for their daughters wedding on Thursday.

The family and guests checked in at the hotel around 11 a.m.Thursday.They then went to Sirsi Road to perform a Sangeet ceremony that night.

The matter has been taken under investigation by the police One member of the brides immediate family has filed a complaint at the Jawahar Circle Police Station here.The complaint mentions that the diamond sets of Rs 2 crore and Rs 96,000 in cash were stolen.

The police began their investigation by scanning CCTV footages.The police were also investigating the negligence of the hotel managers.

However, the hotel administration stated that the suspect was also seen in the CCTV footages with the brides family.The CCTV footage has been captured by the police and the suspect is being sought by the police.
