Abu Dhabi, Nov 30, : Team Abu Dhabi has match-winners throughout, said skipper Liam Livingstone after an eight-run win over Deccan Gladiators at the Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket Stadium. Livingstone won the match with 59 runs in 24 balls.
Abu Dhabi was able to score 125/4 in 10 overs.The Gladiators were kept at bay by pacers Sheldon Cottrell, Marchant de Lange and Marchant de Lange who took two wickets each to defend the target.
“We still got little moments wrong in the game.It’s quite encouraging to get a little bit wrong but still win the game.It was great fun.We have played some great cricket.Our team has many match winners.It has been vital for us at the moment.It’s a nice win, especially against them.”
Livingstone said that the tournament was a great experience for everyone on the team.
“It’s nice being a representative of the home town.Every game someone else is doing it.That’s what makes it exciting for us.Anyone who comes in can win a game.It’s been entertaining.We’ve played some good and some bad cricket, but that’s what T10 Cricket is all about.
The Team Abu Dhabi skipper stated that the players were able to cope with losses and daily life in bio-bubble.
“Everyone deals with these tournaments in a different way.Some people like to stay out, others enjoy being in their rooms and playing video games.Others enjoy hanging out with friends.It’s up to each person what they want to do.We encourage everyone to be themselves, have fun playing cricket together, and keep a smile on their faces.Have fun, enjoy the game, and don’t forget to have fun.You should get excited about the possibilities and not worry about the possible problems.It has worked for us all, thankfully, over the course the tournament.”
Livingstone enjoyed playing in the shortest format and enjoying captaining.
“It’s been great.It suits my game very well.It’s easy to forget that there is no time to think.You just have to do what you do.If you have the time, bowl a few overs and smack a few out of the ground.You don’t have time to go backwards.
Team Abu Dhabi leads the points table after nine matches with 14 points.The Gladiators are second with 12 points.
The Chennai Braves won the second match by defeating Northern Warriors 10 wickets.
