While the Center is intensifying its efforts to privatize the Visakhapatnam steel plant, the AP BJP leaders are opposing the Union government’s stand.Andhra Pradesh BJP State President Somu Veerraju said that Visakhapatnam Steel would not be privatized and that the BJP state party would take the responsibility of safeguarding the Vizag steel plant and the rights of the Andhra people.
He spoke to reporters during his recent visit to Ongole.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that the Vizag steel plant will not be privatized.
Veeraraj questioned what the activists for the steel plant were doing while the govt is privatizing the dairies, sugar factories and spinning mills in the state.
Responding to the water dispute between the Telugu states, he accused Jagan and KCR of conspiracy.
He also criticized the YCP leaders and ministers for not responding to the Veligonda and Gundlakamma projects except the Polavaram project.
Somu Veerraju said that despite the Union govt is allocating funds at a large scale, the state govt is indulging in debts.
Somu Veerraju revealed that a seminar on AP BJP’s perspective on Water Resources will be held in Vijayawada on the 19th of this month.
