Indian former dashing batsman Virender Sehwag said CSK’s batting reminds him of a test match.
Chennai Super Kings haven’t learned from their mistake while they lost respectably to Rajasthan Royals in a 217-run chase on Tuesday.
MS Dhoni-led team has repeated the same mistake chasing 176 against Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals to make it the fourth-biggest defeat in their IPL history.
Analysing the 44-run defeat to DC, Virender Sehwag said the approach of Chennai Super Kings reminds him of a test match.
He said CSK’s opener Murali Vijay is starting the innings as if it is a test match but not T20.On the other hand, Viru compared Shane Watson to an old diesel engine, which struggles to start, and gets halted before going a foot forward.
Then came his wittiest comment, as he said: “India might get bullet trains before MS Dhoni decides to bat at No.4”.Sehwag also pointed out that, MSD and the team did not appeal for a caught out of Prithivi Shaw in the first over despite no crowd at the stands.Shaw then went on to play and got a meaty 64(43), which greatly helped DC to crush the men in yellow.
Finally, he hoped that CSK would bounce back as they have a 6-day-time to play their next match with SRH on Friday.
