Vinod Tawde is appointed BJP National General Secretary

New Delhi : Vinod Tawde was appointed by J.P.

Nadda, BJP president on Sunday as the national general secretary.He appointed two national secretaries as well as two spokespersonsArun Singh, the partys national general secretary, stated that "BJP chief J.P.Nadda made these national appointments." From the current position as national secretary, Tawde is promoted to national general secretary.

Tawde, a Maratha leader, served several positions within Maharashtras organisation before being elected as the national secretary for Nadda’s team.His base is in Mumbai and Konkan.

In the meantime, Asha Lakra (Jharkhand) and Rituraj Sinha (Bihar) have been appointed national secretaries of BJP.In the same way, Shehzad Poonawala and Bharti Ghosh of West Bengal were appointed as partys national spokespersons.Nadda appointed Baby Rani Maurya, a former Uttarakhand governor, and Dilip Ghosh (the partys West Bengal unit chief) as the national vice-presidents.

Maurya quit her post as Governor of Uttarakhand.There was also speculation she would be given an important role in the organisational structure.

According to a party insider, Maurya would play an important role next year in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.Three BJP national office bearers were appointed ministers during the Union Cabinet reshuffle of July.

Bhupender Yadav, the BJPs national general secretary was appointed Cabinet Minister.Annapurna Devi, the party vice president and Bisweshwar Tidu, the BJP national secretary were elected Ministers of State.
