Mumbai, Nov 27, : Ram Madhvani’s acclaimed series ‘Aarya’, starring Sushmita S, has been nominated for an International Emmy.Now, the show will return to Disney+ Hotstar with its second season. The second season is in the works and actor Vikas Kumar spoke out about a time when the crew was having a party to relax after a long day of shooting.Vikas shaking hands with Sushmita, the show’s lead, was the highlight of the evening.
The actor recalled the incident and said, “An incident that I’ll never forget with Sushmita actually happened off-set.After a long day at work, Sushmita was showing me moves from a song she had written in ‘Main Hoon Na’.
It was the only time I was truly in awe!
“I called out to the crew, ‘I am dancing along with THE Sushmita S.Koi record! (Please record) Sushmita turned me around and said, “Khan saab!” Don’t ruin the moment, look into my eyes! Bas! Uske baad toh kya hi dance kar paata main! He added, “How could I have danced after that?”
Vikas also spoke out about Ram Madhvani, the show’s creator, and explained his work process.He said that Ram’s direction was ‘invisible.’ He rarely ‘instructs his actors.Ram came to me this season while we were filming the last shot.He was very unobtrusive and said, “That was good, but instead of being angry, perhaps you could play hurt.” That’s it.The result was more effective, and it is the take that has remained in the edit.
Vikas praises the show’s creator and co-actor and says, “Ram (and Sushmita) are great people and ace professionals.Your performance is greatly enhanced by Ram as a director/producer, and Sushmita the co-actor.
What more could one want? They are always a pleasure to work with.
