‘Vedam’ Fame Nagaiah No More

Tollywood’s senior character artist Nagaiah who is well-known for his heart-touching performance in the Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj starrer ‘Vedam’ that released in 2010, has passed away in the early hours of Saturday.The 77-year-old actor was suffering from health issues for quite some time now and has breathed his last on Saturday due to illness.

In ‘Vedam’ which was directed by Krishn, Nagaiah played the role of Siricilla Ramulu and his performance received huge applause from all corners and he went on to change his name to ‘Vedam’ Nagaiah.He later acted in more than 25 films which include ‘Seema Tapakai’, ‘Gamanam’, ‘Balupu’, ‘Nagavalli’, ‘Spyder’, ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’ and many others.

Nagaiah, a native of Narsarao Peta, Guntur district, reached Hyderabad with difficulty along with his son.One day he accidentally met producer Radhakrishna and got a chance in ‘Vedam’.After acting in ‘Vedam’, he was found begging on the streets of Filmnagar circles, and in the pandemic, he received help from MAA association and the Telangana government.Recently his wife also succumbed due to ill health.May his soul rest in peace!
