‘Ved, the Visionary’: This non-feature film took twelve years to complete!

Ved The Visionary, which opened Indian Panoramas Non-Feature Film section at the 52nd IFFI edition, took Rajeev Prakash 12 years to finish, he saidRajeev Prakash, the director, said during a press conference: "Ved, The Visionary" is a movie about my father.His career began in 1939, and continued until 1975.

Director said that he covered all the major events in India, both pre-and post-Independence.He also pointed out the many aspects of different coverages that have been included into the film.

He wanted to draw attention to one event his father covered and he stated, "Its the coverage of Mahatma Ghandis funeral which was nominated in 1949 for the Bafta Awards." The director stated that the film was a 12 year long process and that it is a personal dream.

He also said that the Indian Panorama 2021 platform made this possible.The director stated, "I am proud to have made a movie for an Indian person who captured history on newsreel, providing it to the world," mani/k #Visionary #twelve.
