Kolkata, November 19, : , There are many indications that BJP MP Varun Giri might join the Trinamool Congress. Varun Gandhi could meet Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal chief minister, during her visit to the capital next week.
Although there is no confirmation that Maneka Gandhi’s son will join the Trinamool yet, a top leader of the party said that the Chief Minister’s trip to Delhi next week would be “very important” and may bring some surprises.
It is not yet clear if the BJP leader will be joining the Trinamool at Banerjee’s Delhi visit or later.
A senior leader of Trinamool said that while he was not able to make any statements on the subject, he told Trinamool, “Leaders angry at the BJP but without any way to get to Congress are contacting Trinamool.It is evident that Mamata, Trinamool and Modi can have the greatest impact on stopping Modi.
Recenty, BJP dropped Varun Gandhi, his mother Maneka Gandhi, from its national working committee.The Gandhi family junior, however, is reportedly seeking a platform for politics.
Varun Gandhi also condemned Lakhimpur Kheri’s killing of farmers, which indicated that his relations with the saffron camp had turned sour.
Experts believe that if he is being held hostage by the BJP, he will seek out a stable platform.
In that instance, Trinamool Congress might be the best option.

He would therefore be interested in a party which can provide him with a platform on a national level.Trinamool Congress is looking to expand its national presence and would be open to including a candidate who can win support from the nation.

Dan Ali (who had switched from JD-S to BSP in 2019) may also join Trinamool due to his disagreements with Mayawati, the party’s supremo.
Mayawati removed Ali as Lok Sabha leader last year due to disagreements with him.
Official sources say Mamata Banerjee could travel to Delhi in November 22nd and then return to India on November 25th.She might have a two-day visit to the capital and meet Prime Minister NarendraModi, to discuss the issues.
According to sources in the Chief Minister’s Office, Modi and Banerjee might be discussing the state’s financial obligations and recent expansion of BSF’s authority in the state’s borders from 15km to 50km.
It is possible that the Chief Minister will also meet with leaders from the opposition parties including the interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
