US Official Says India Is Highest Recipient Of H-1B Visas -

New Delhi: Michele Bond, US Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs is in India representing United States of America to attend the annual bilateral consular meeting held in New Delhi on Monday.In this meeting Bond spoke of facilitating tourism and travel between two countries, Visa assessing, protection of US citizens in India, transparent international adoption and preventing international parental child abduction etc.

Bond stated that though United States had doubled the fees of H-1B and L-1 Visas still there is no drop in the applications from India and continues to get highest number of visas of H-1 B.This was disclosed by US Official in Washington, an authority for International Visas on Tuesday.Michele Bond stated that Indian citizens are sanctioned with 70% of H1-B Visas issued throughout the world.Its happy to know that Indian applicants will be successful in qualifying for this visas.30% L-1 Visas are received.In fact US doubled the visa fees to $4,000 for H-1B and $4,500 for L-1 last year. - US Official Says India Is Highest Recipient Of H-1B Visas-Latest News - Telugu-Telugu Tollywood Photo Image

In the US fiscal year 2015 (from October 1st,2014 to September 30th 2015) 1,10,000 H-1B visas were issued to Indian Citizens.She said US is giving top priority to India for economic and commercial understandings.

Bond lead US delegation and P Kumaran Joint Secretary (Consular, Passport, Visa) in Ministry of External Affairs led Indian team.
