Lucknow, Nov 28, : After a paper leak, the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 (UPTET-2021) exam has been cancelled. The exam was scheduled for Sunday at 10 a.m.
According to reports, the paper went viral in several WhatsApp groups in Mathura and Ghaziabad just before the exam started.
Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General Police (ADG), Law and Order, Prashant Karma stated that the UPTET 2021 examination, which was scheduled to be held today, has been cancelled due to an alleged paper leak.
He stated that STF had detained dozens of suspects in the paper leak case, and that the investigation is ongoing.
After one month, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will conduct the UPTET exam once again.UPBEB also informed that candidates will not be required to pay additional fees for the exam.
In due course, the exact date for the UPTET exam is going to be announced.
Students are also being asked by the state government to return to their homes on state roads buses for free, if they show their admit cards.
The investigation has been initiated by the Special Task Force (STF), Uttar Pradesh Police.
