UP BJP welcomes Opposition MLAs for their seats

Lucknow, Nov 26th : The Bhartiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh (BJP) has begun to make inroads in the 78 seats it lost in 2017 to Opposition parties by welcoming legislators who have won these seats into its fold.

For example, the five seats in which the securities of BJP candidates were forfeited include Gauriganj and Sahaswan, Sadabad and Soraon.Aditi Singh, a Rae Bareli legislator, has been welcomed into the BJPs fold.

Aditi Singh was the daughter of late Akhilesh Sing, and she won in 2017 because of this influence.The BJP is certain that she will keep the seat and add it the saffron kitty.

Ramvir Upadhyay of the BSP, who defeated the BJP at Sadabad in Hathras last year, has now joined the BJP and will run for the partys nomination in the upcoming elections.Rakesh Pratap Singh, of Samajwadi Party, had won the Gauriganj seat at Amethi.

Recent resignations from the state Assembly membership were due to lack of development in the region.Rumours have circulated that he may be preparing to join BJP for development in his constituency.

Vandana Singh, a BSP MLA from Sagdi, Azamgarh has also joined the saffron group earlier in the week.Subhash Pasi (SP MLA from Saidpur, Ghazipur) has also joined BJP and is preparing for the saffron banner "We are focusing on seats where we lost, and if the sitting MLAs from these seats want to join us, we have no objections.

" A senior party functionary said that the screening committee will approve their candidature and that they can join us.The BJP is especially interested in the SP MLAs.Some of them may not be granted tickets by their party, as the seats will be given to allies.
