University of Agriculture in the name of Gautam Reddy Mekapati!

Rajamohan Reddy father of Gautam Reddy Mekapati has asked CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy to transform the Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy Engineering College (Merits) into an Agriculture University named after Mekapati Gautam Reddy.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the funeral of Minister Gautam Reddy at the College of Engineering on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the CM talked about the development of the upland area and many other issues.He told the CM that he was ready to voluntarily hand over assets worth Rs 225 crore belonging to the engineering college he had set up in Vandekar in Udayagiri to the government.

The responding CM assured the elders that appropriate steps would be taken to change the name of the college as well as to make it an Agriculture‌ University within the forthcoming assembly sessions.Rajamohan Reddy demanded that the drinking and irrigated Velugonda project, Somashila High Level Canal, Phase-1 and Phase-2, which he had previously represented in Udayagiri and Atmakuru constituencies, should be completed and converted into a delta soon.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy assured that the project would be completed as soon as possible.
