These vehicles are quickly becoming junk after the long wait for their masters.
These vehicles are not in the parking lot.They stated that they compile a list of vehicles that have been parked for more then 48 hours each day and give it to Metro authorities.The Delhi Metro then makes a decision about what to do.
It is not known if these vehicles were taken.Some vehicles were parked at the bank because their owners couldn’t pay the instalments.
For more than a year and a half, a four-wheeler has been parked at Delhi’s Yamuna Bank Metro Station.According to the parking operator it was parked by a banker because its owner couldn’t pay the instalment.
Many people lost their jobs and had to flee the country during the pandemic.Some of these vehicles may have been left behind during the pandemic, but no one has claimed them back.
The parking operator at the Botanical Garden Metro Station stated that the vehicles had been unclaimed since before the pandemic.They are there, but I don’t know why.They won’t be taken away by the police, so what can I do?
Three vehicles remain unclaimed in the Akshardham Metro Station parking lot for a long period.
There are 114 parking lots at Metro Stations where vehicles are unclaimed.
After a set period, the provision allows for the auction of unclaimed vehicles.Some people remove their vehicles by court order.Unclaimed vehicles become junk.
Delhi Metro stated in a statement that cars are paid for parking in the lots of Delhi Metro stations.
Police authorities are informed if vehicles are left unattended for more than seven days.Every month, a list is sent to the police to inform them of any necessary actions.
According to a report, 89 vehicles were left unclaimed in the parking lots at 38 Metro stations between March 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021.
Delhi Metro stated that even if a notice has been sent to the owner, he or she may not appear, then the vehicles will be sent for scrap.
The auction rules state that the disposal process must begin six months after a vehicle is discovered unclaimed.This information is recorded by the police and then it is given to the court.
