This was compounded with an escalation in violence in areas like Tambura.

The response of humanitarian agencies has been increased to help the people affected.

It said that this is the third consecutive year of flooding in large areas of South Sudan.

This allocation helps to respond to some of the most severe and prolonged floodings.

OCHA stated that UN agencies and partners will offer humanitarian aid and protection for flood victims who are unable to access basic services or supplies.
