Let me make it clear: Ukraine has no plans to launch a military operation in the Donbas.Kuleba stated on Twitter that she is committed to finding political and diplomatic resolutions to this conflict.
Kuleba stated that Ukraine continues to work hard to restore the Normandy model to end the conflict between Donetsk and Luhansk, which is collectively known as Donbas.
According to Russian media reports, Dmitry Peskov (Kremlin spokesperson), stated that Ukraine was likely seeking a military solution for the Donbas situation.
After government forces launched offensives in April 2014 to regain control over the towns and cities seized by armies that declared their independence from Kiev, conflict began in Donbas.
It claimed the lives of approximately 14,000 people and wounded 40,000 others.
A four-party diplomatic organization, the Normandy format (also known as the Normandy Contact Group, which consists of Ukraine, Russia and Germany), was created to solve the Donbass crisis.
