Two Germans test positive for Covid in B’luru; one goes missing

Bengaluru, Dec 8, 2008 : A German traveller who arrived at the KempeGowda International Airport in Bengaluru (KIAL) on Wednesday was reported missing by sources from the Karnataka Health Department.

He had tested positive for RT-PCR, they saidTwo German-born passengers, aged 43 and 50, had tested positive to Covid-19.

The one of them had been transferred to the hospital.However, the other German was still missing and his phone was switched off.Sources claimed that the incident was caused by negligence at the airport.The samples of the two individuals were sent by the health department for Omicron virus genome sequencing tests.More details are still to be determined.

According to BBMP sources, five of the contacts of the doctor who was infected by Omicron variant have been confirmed negative in a genomic sequencing test.All patients are doing well.

Once their test results are known, they will be retested with RT-PCR.They said that if their results are negative, all patients will be sent home.
