Twitter Avoiding Sharing Information On Bot Accounts: Musk

Twitter refrains from sharing data on accounts of bots: Musk

New Delhi, Aug 19 : Elon Musk on Friday claimed that Parag Agrawal’s Twitter isn’t sharing data about the amount of bots and spam accounts on its platform, since his chief team requested documents from firms that specialize in advertising technology that work for the micro-blogging platform.
His legal team compelled two companies in the ad tech industry -DoubleVerify and Integral Ad Science (IAS) and DoubleVerify — to supply documents or other information regarding the monitoring of the user base of the platform, media reports stated.

Both the advertising technology companies are located in New York.

A Musk follower on Twitter: “The only relevant document I could find was blog posts on the Twitter website. In essence, certain companies conduct audits on Twitter to confirm ads in the Twitter platform but.where do they find these audits? What are the procedures for these audits?”

The world’s most successful man responded: “Those are the questions that Twitter will do everything to keep from answering.”

A US judge has had ordered Twitter to “collect and review documents” from Kayvon Beykpour, the platform’s former general manager for consumers who was fired by CEO Parag Agrawal in May, and then hand it to Musk’s legal staff.

Musk’s legal team requested judge Kathleen St.Jude McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery that documents from 22 Twitter employees be turned to them, as they had direct information about accounts that were spammed or “bot” accounts, as reported by Insider.

The judge ordered Twitter to turn over the information of Beykpour only who was a key executive of the micro-blogging site.

The Tesla CEO has stated that If Agrawal could prove the real amount of fraudulent accounts, the deal could still be pushed forward.

“If Twitter simply provides their method of sampling 100 accounts, and how they’re confirmed as genuine, the transaction should continue on the initial terms.” Musk had tweeted.

“However If it turns out to be the case that their Securities and Exchange Commission filings are in fact false then they should not,” he added.

In the midst of the ongoing legal dispute, Musk has also challenged Agrawal to engage in an open debate about spam and fake accounts.
