A week has passed since the agitation by the contract employees seeking to take themselves under the purview of the Srilaxmi Srinivasa Corporation, which set up the Tirumala Tirupati Temple.Along with Tirumala, sanitation workers working at the Srinivasam and Vishnu Niwas hostels in Tirupati staged a protest at the TTD administration building in Tirupati.
Chief Minister Jagan, who is on a visit to the flood-hit areas, assured that the problems of the workers would be resolved.The workers, who initially wanted the strike to end, decided to continue the protest until the guarantee came into force.
The workers are hopeful that the TTD Board Trustees meeting in Thirumala on the 9th of this month will resolve their issue.Otherwise the concerns were determined to intensify.
