With this, a large number of staff are preparing to apply for this ‘Extra Ordinary Leave’ (EOL).There are currently about 3,000 drivers and conductors in TSRTC.

The RTC introduced this extraordinary leave policy in the wake of the financial situation of the TSRTC, which was dilapidated, and overstaffed.

The drivers and conductors of TSRTC may be on leave for a maximum of five years under EOL‌.

Until then, their job will be paid as well. However, there will be no salary after that.

Recently, the TSRTC has extended the retirement age of RTC employees by two years after the last strike. Many of them find it difficult to perform these duties as they are 58 years old.The main reason for this is health problems.

Under these circumstances, many were left in a state of helplessness as the service was extended for another two years.

Recently, such people have had the opportunity to take advantage of this extraordinary leave.
