Srinagar 12 August : The flag of the nation will be lowered across all government buildings and offices including educational institutions all across Jammu as well as Kashmir during this Independence Day.A circular published by the General Administration Department in this in this regard reads “In connection with the ‘Azadi Ka Amarit Mahotsav’ and the celebration of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence It has been determined that all government buildings and offices throughout the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir including colleges, universities schools urban local bodies offices, tehsils panchayats and blocks patwar khanas, etc.will hoist the flag of the nation during Independence Day, 2022.”
The circular also stated that it is imperative to ensure that the flag of the country is raised in appropriate and appropriate manner with proper consideration of flag code.For this, the Information Department shall generate awareness of all parties involved.
The circular added that all the administrative secretaries/divisional commissioners/heads of departments/deputy commissioners should strictly adhere to the above instructions in letter and spirit.
