Seoul, November 22, : , The South Korean horror movie ‘Hellbound” has reached the top of the popular television show ratings in the world just one day after it was released. FlixPatrol data shows that the Korean-language Netflix original was the most watched streaming TV program on Saturday (U.S.Time), just one day after its international premiere.Yonhap News Agency reports.
“Hellbound” ranked No.It ranked No.1 in the list of most-watched shows in all 24 countries.
This pushed it down to second place after ‘Squid Game,’ a global sensation in Korean, who has held the first spot for many years.
Yeon Sangho, who is best known for his 2016 film ‘Train To Busan’ fame directed ‘Hellbound.
It depicts the social chaos and unrest that follows a string of supernatural events.
The webtoon is called ‘Hell’ and was written by Yeon.
It has been widely acclaimed since it’s release in 2019.
The next day, Sunday, U.S.Time, “Hellbound” fell to second place after “Arcane”, an animated series that was based on the online game “League of Legends”, rose to the top.
