After Scorsese critique, Tom Holland defends Marvel movies and calls them’real art.

Los Angeles, December 25, : Hollywoods Tom Holland defends the Marvel Cinematic Universe against legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s critiqueReports aceshowbiz.com: The actor from Spider-Man: No Way Home" said Marvel movies are "real art", in a rebuttal to Scorsese’s claim that they were "not cinema".

The 25-year old English actor spoke out in a humorous interview with The Hollywood Reporter.He said, "You could ask Martin, Would you like to make a Marvel film? He has never seen one and doesnt really know how it feels.He continued, saying: "The way that I breakdown the character and the way that the director outlines the story and characters, it all works the same way, but on a larger scale." They are, in my opinion, real art.Holland explained that he has made Marvel movies as well as movies that were in Oscar conversation.The only thing that makes them different is the cost.

Star of Cherry, he added that many Marvel stars would also agree with him.He stated that "When making films you can be sure millions will view them.But when making small independent films no one will ever see it.So it is subject to different pressures "Its possible to ask Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr, or Scarlett Johansson about movies that have been Oscar-worthy and made movies with superheroes." He said, "Theyll tell you they are the same but on a different level.

" Actor Todd, who is portrayed in "Chaos Walking", also joked about how there was less spandex in the "Oscar movies." Holland responded two years ago to Martin Scorseses snub of MCU in his Empire magazine interview.

The director expressed his disappointment at the films award as the best-grossing movie of all time.Martin said that the closest thing to them (Marvel films), was the theme parks.He stated this at the time.

It isnt the cinema that attempts to communicate emotional and psychological experiences to other human beings.He added, "It isnt the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another person." Thats just not cinema.

" Scorsese clarified his comments in an op-ed published by The New York Times on November 19, 2019.Scorsese stated that he disliked Marvel movies partly because of "personal taste", but he did mention that big franchise movies dominate cinemas across the country.

According to The Irishman, "Franchise films have become the best option for people who want to watch something big on the big screen in many countries around the globe and here in the United States." According to the 79-year old, "It is a dangerous time for film exhibition and there are fewer independent theaters than ever.
