Sensor Tower reports that approximately 400 apps joined TikTok’s wagon in 2020, on both the App Store worldwide and Google Play globally.
This is more than double the number of apps released in 2019.
While TikTok has maintained its position at the top, the speed of new apps being launched around TikTok has declined in 2021.
It reached a level similar to 2019, in the first ten months of 2019.
TikTok has been downloaded approximately 3.3 billion times worldwide.Its more than 900 companion apps have collectively reached almost 40% of the total number across all app stores.
About half the apps that mention TikTok allow users to save videos to their phones.This represents about 49% of all launch studies.
Although new apps continue to be launched on TikTok’s heels, there is a slowdown in the growth of similar apps by 2021.
