New Delhi, Nov 28, : , Congress MP Manish Tewari criticised BJP for using the book to attack Congress.He also said that the book contains mentions of Balakot surgical strikes.
After the verbal spat between Rajnath Singh and Tewari, the Congress MP invited him to his book launch event. Tewari stated, “Respected @rajnathsingh ji.Trolls in your Party, I Understand.But as Union Defence Minister I would urge you read my book if seriously thinking that surgical strikes or Balakot Bombings have brought about any change in the behaviour of Pakistan.”
He stated that the BJP had gained in politics, but not on the security front.”In terms domestic political messaging, there may have been some wins, but the central dilemma of how effective is the conventional force’s response to non-state actors’ predations is still seriously debated.It remains a challenge today as it was in 2008.
“I will discuss these and a lot other including the response of your government towards continued Chinese incursions from April 2020.
These forms a substantial portion of the book after its formal launch December 2, 2021.Tewari said, “If you have the time, plz come Sir.”
Rajnath Singh had referred Tewari’s book to attack Congress on Saturday while addressing a BJP meeting at Uttar Pradesh.Singh stated that the Congress-led UPA government failed to take the effective anti-terrorism action they should have after the Mumbai attacks.This is not something I say.Manish Tewari, a senior Congress leader, has written in his book that he believes the government should have taken swift action after the terrorist attack in 2008.It didn’t take such action.”
Singh spoke out about India’s response in Uri and Pulwama to the terror attacks.He said that the entire world is now discussing the BJP-led government’s actions after the attack.
Tewari wrote in his book about the security situation and challenges following the rise of Taliban.”Restraint is not a sign strength, it is a symbol weakness for a state that is willing to brutally murder hundreds of innocent civilians.Sometimes actions speak louder than words.26/11 was such a time.”It is therefore my considered opinion that India should’ve acted a kinetic reaction in the days following 9/11,” extracts from the book.
