Telangana will receive heavy rain for another two days, says Nagaratna, director of the state Meteorological Department.He said there was a possibility of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal on the 21st of this month.
This low pressure will continue from the northwestern Bay of Bengal over its adjoining areas.The Meteorological Department said that the low pressure extends up to an altitude of 2.1 km from the surface.
There is a wind basin between the eastern and western regions of the Indian subcontinent.
The monsoons are active and are resulting in heavy rains in the state.Nagaratna said there was a possibility of moderate to heavy rains on Saturday and Sunday due to low pressure.
It rained intermittently from 8 am to 8 pm on Friday.
Along with this, heavy to moderate rains with thunder and lightning are expected in the coming days in Telangana.
It may rain heavily majorly in the southern, eastern and western districts.Telangana received 1.09cm of rainfall in the state from Thursday morning to Friday morning.Narayanpet district received 4.8 cm of rainfall in the state.
