Telangana State Government issued an alert that the online government services in Telangana will not be available for three days.The Telangana State Data Center also revealed that all the government websites will not be working from July 9 to July 11.
The online services will be suspended from 9 pm on the 9th of this month to 9 pm on the 11th of this month for setting up an advanced UPS (Uninterruptable Power Stores).The IT ministry has announced that it is shutting down websites and online services in order to set up a new UPS system at the State Data Center (SDC), the focal point for websites and online services in Telangana.
SDC is currently housed at the TSIIC Center in Gachibowli.It was established in 2010.SDC has been in service since 2011.It has various applications and servers connected to all government departments.
IT services are often disrupted due to technical issues with the power backup due to the old UPS in SDC.Because of this, the state IT department has decided to replace the old UPS with a new one.IT Ministry said the new system would work efficiently even if the power supply was interrupted.
