TDP to initiate ‘Protest Week’ in AP from June 16

The major opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party, has decided to hold a ‘Protest Week’ across AP from tomorrow till the 22nd of this month.As part of this, protests will be held demanding the support of people from all sectors who are struggling due to the corona lockdown.

The decision was taken at a recent meeting of party chief Chandrababu with party leaders.

The TDP has planned the implement protest activities accordingly.

The TDP alleged that other states had announced a special package to help the people of various sectors who affected due to the corona lockdown, but the AP government had not announced any package in support of them.TDP demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the deceased families.

TDP chief announced that protests will be held for a week starting from tomorrow.Also, he demanded payment of minimum support price for agriculture produce.

As part of the protest, the TDP is going to issue letters with ten demands tomorrow at Tahsildar offices, at the Revenue Division offices on the 18th and at the Collector offices on the 20th of this month.Also, initiations will be held in 175 constituencies on June 22.
