TCL displays its foldable phone concept

Beijing, Dec 8, : TCL, a Chinese consumer electronics brand, has presented its concept design for a foldable smartphone at the DTC 2021 technology Congress.

A Twitter user posted a video showing the futuristic and innovative TCL phone.The new standout features were captured in the Twitter video.

The concept phones design features include a book-like folding system.The screen was folded and the left side of device was extended by rolling to make the smartphone a tablet.The standard 6.87-inch display of the smartphone can be extended up to 8.55 inches with the foldable feature or 10-inches with rollable.Although the company has not revealed the main specifications of the device yet, the concept foldable will likely have an OLED panel with high refresh rate up to 240Hz.The company showcased a Fold an Roll device in April that could be expanded from a 6.87-inch screen to an 8.85-inch phablet size or a 10-inch tablet.The company stated that it is not abandoning the foldable product category but did not give a time frame for when its first folding device might be commercially available.
