Tarun Khanna teaches Marathi dialect to play the role of ‘Kashibai Bhajirao Ballal’

Mumbai, Nov 29, : TV actor Tarun Khanna discusses his portrayal of the character of Balaji Vishwanath, who is Bajirao’s father in the show Kashibai Bajirao Ballal.

He also talks about how Aishwarya Narkar, his co-actor, helped him learn Marathi dialect to play his roleHe plays the role of a soldier in Chhatrapati Shahu Maharajs army.

Tarun Khanna shares his thoughts: "This role has such a strong historical relevance within our nations vast past and I will give my 100 percent to play it as authentically as I can." I believe everyone should prepare for their roles thoroughly, especially when portraying historical leaders.To be able to portray my character in Kashibai Bajirao Ballal, I have been learning Marathi dialect.

He says that he is learning Marathi dialect to play his character on-screen: "But its a little difficult for me to be fluent in the enunciation at every time." My co-actress Aishwarya Narkar helps me to learn the correct Marathi dialect and the correct pronunciations of the pure Marathi terms "I also help her with shudh (pure) Hindi words.It is a nice exchange between us.It is important for actors to convince their audience and portray authentic characters on screen.These are the baby steps we take for our viewers.Zee TV airs Kashibai Bajirao Ballal.
