Omicron is confirmed by Tanzanian president

Dar Es Salaam : January 1, 2017 - Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has confirmed the existence of the Omicron Covid-19 variant in this east African country.

The head of state reminded the public that they should continue to follow all precautions as recommended by experts in health care.President Obama advised citizens to get vaccinated against Covid.He said that the vaccines were free.

Omicron was discovered for the first time in South Africa on November 11, causing alarm across the globe.Countries have imposed restrictions and travel bans to stop the spread of this virus, even within the vaccination program.
