TAGC celebrated Seniors’ cultural night in grand scale

Aurora, Ill.Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) celebrated CATS (Chicago Area Telugu Seniors) Cultural night and Sahiti Sadassu on Aug 2nd festivities were attended by 300 Telugu Seniors, and included performances by seniors.

The stage was decorated with strings of beautiful flowers with a Deepam and lots of lotuses.

People from all ages were very much entertained with the amazing performances like skits, singing, dances and plenty more.The registration desk was handled by TAGC Youth committee at the entrance of the auditorium.

The programs kicked off with an introductory message from TAGC-CATS committee Chair Bhargavi Nettem and TAGC President Srinivas Pedamallu.Then the singing of the American and Indian national anthems followed by performance of local talent.

Rocking performances included Swagatam Suswagatam which showed how all the Indians camped to America devolved themselves.Another literature session was Saahithi Sadassu which was about all great Indian poetry.The night was MC’ed by Lakshmi Damaraju.

The performances continued for about 3 hours and ended in a grand finale of Lungi Dance choreographed by Prasuna Vootkur.The event wrapped up with a Vote of Thanks by Hari Raini and Ananth Vootkur.

Then, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner which included mouth watering Mysore Bonda, Vegetable Biryani among other items from Masala Restaurant, which was served by plenty of volunteers.

TAGC President Srinivas Pedamallu congratulated CATS Committee members Bhargavi Nettem, Ramesh Garapaty, Jagan Bukkaraju, Hari Raini and other Seniors who helped organize the event and thanked TAGC Executive Team and BoDs Kalyan Anandula, Ram Ade, Sujatha Appalaneni, Siva Pasumarti, Malathi Damaraju, Murthy Pisipati, Pradeep Kandimalla, Ravi Upad and Raghav Jatla for all their support in making the event a grand success .Best compliments received from TAGC 2014 platinum sponsors – Ashok Lakshmanan from PMSI, Krishna Rangaraju from New York Life, Dr.Surekha Sakala, Dakshi, Realtor from John Greene, and Samar from Viceroy of India.
