Mumbai, Nov 29, : Ram Madhavni’s ‘Aarya’ has been hailed as one of the most compelling crime thrillers.The official adaptation of the Dutch hit series ‘Penoza’ is back with its second season.It stars Sushmita Sen. After spiralling into the darkest corners of crime, the lead character will grow more determined.Both seasons were shot during the pandemic, with the entire crew hiding in a bio bubble.
Sushmita recently spoke out about her experience working during lockdowns.
She said that everyone handled both seasons with clinical precision.It doesn’t matter if you are shooting during a lockdown, or releasing during it.That’s our new thing.We expressed our gratitude for being able to work during the pandemic when we finished the shoot for “Aarya 2”.
She attributes the success to the teamwork.She says, “There were so much people who had no choice but to stay at home, but this is also a great culmination of teamwork.” We had Disney+ Hotstar Ram Madhvani, all the cast and crew together.Everyone was just following the rules and making it happen.
The actress shared her experience working in a bio bubble and said, “My God!” I will never forget the definition of a bubble.It is extremely difficult for any crew member to work 10 hours a days in a PPE suit.
She said that while it was difficult at first, the constant tests and the separation from their family made it easier over time.She said, “In the larger picture, we were grateful to be able to work at such a moment and to have created something that you love.” “Aarya Season 2 is a huge leap from the first.
It’s wonderful to watch the same series move at such a fast pace and with so much variety, even though you’ve already moved the story far ahead of the original.This was always a question mark.Ram Madhvani used the phrase, “What are we going do in the remainder of the season?” There’s so much already.He would then say, “Wait for it, there’s a lot of content.We have a fantastic topic.”
“So, working during lockdown was amazing, we had a shoot in Jaipur, which is Aarya’s hometown, and patchwork was executed by Mumbai, so our schedule wasn’t interrupted at all,” the actress concludes.
