Stuart Broad joins elite club of bowlers with 100th wicket in Lord’s

London 19th August : Englands speedy Stuart Broad has become only the second player to have taken 100 wickets in a Test match at Lords and joins long-time pace-bowling teammate James Anderson, who was present on the field to greet Stuart Broad in celebration.

The Proteas however were in control in the game in the first half, evicting the hosts with a pathetic 161 in 45 overs prior to lunch on the second day and scoring 289/7 to take an advantage of 124 runs.Broad with the record is now the fourth person to have taken 100 wickets in one venue, and is now part of an elite group with his teammate , as also Sri Lankan pair Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath.
