Bengaluru, Nov 30, : The Karnataka Minister for Health and Medical Education K.Sudhakar stated Tuesday that mandatory RTPCR tests are being performed on all travelers entering the state from countries where the new Omicorn variant Covid-19 was detected.
A new expert committee will be established to develop guidelines and protocols for the treatment or prevention of infection by Omicron Covid variant Omicron "About 2,500 passengers arrive in the state each day from different countries.Those who test negative will be sent home for seven days.
The fifth day will see those who are symptomatic and positive being tested at home.The symptomatic one will then be tested at home the seventh day.The Minister stated that if they are positive, they will be admitted immediately and treated separately.The meeting also covered preparations for the provision of health care services, including availability of oxygen beds, deployments of doctors and staff, and supply of medicine.
All states are being asked to send samples to the Central government.The Minister stated that every international passengers contact information is being tracked and tested.
Technology such as Quarantine App and Tele Medicine are also being looked at.Sudhakar said that a group of 10 experts was also set up to develop separate guidelines for treatment.mka/pgh #Ktaka #intl #arrivals.
