Steven Spielberg and Rachel Zegler made fun of their inexperience on “West Side Story”

Steven Spielberg, the director of West Side Story and Rachel Zegler laughed about their inexperience as Zegler made her first movie musical debutTotal Film magazine quoted her as saying that she was certain the only musically-inspired thing Spielberg has done is "Anything Goes" in "Temple of Doom.

" We would always read about Spielbergs musicals from the perspective of skeptics.I was like "Thats one amazing film opening!" But we had definitely spoken.I had never done a film before.Hed never seen a musical.
