Dubai, Nov 30, : West Indies women cricketers Stafanie and Hayley Matthews rose Tuesday in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings and all-rounder rankings, respectively.
Both Taylor and her teammate, Taylor, stood up for their side during Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier play.Taylor moved into the top-10 in batting (676) while her No.4 all rounder ranking (319) was held on.

Matthews was able to move up to her highest career rating (272), joining Katherine Brunt from England and Jess Jonassen from Australia in a three-way tie for the all-rounders ranking.Taylor is only beaten by South Africa’s Marizanne Capp (384), England’s Natalie Sciver (372), and Australia’s Ellyse Per (365) in all-rounders rankings.

Captain Taylor was at her best in the West Indies’ ODI match against Ireland at the Qualifier.She took the wicket of Eimear Richson in a spell that was 2/15.

Taylor, who was chasing 160 runs, clocked an unbeaten 41 run from 54 balls to win the six-wicket match.Taylor won the chase and moved up to ninth in the ODI batsman rankings, surpassing Rachael Haynes from Australia, Heather Knight of England, and Laura Wolvaardt from South Africa.

Matthews’ bowling performance in the match was poor.She removed Laura Delany, the Ireland captain, and Orla Prendergast, the Ireland captain, in the same over.

She finished with 2/20 of her 10-over allotted.

Qualifier action also helped players from Pakistan and Zimbabwe make big moves.

The tournament hosts Zimbabwe’s bowlers stood out, with Sharne Maiers (+24), Francisca Chikare (+14), and Loreen Tshuma (+18).This was despite Javeria Khan’s defeat to Pakistan.

Sadia Iqbal (+14), Fatima Sana (+16), and Anam Amin (+8) impressed Pakistan.
