In just twelve days, ‘Spider-Man’ surpasses $1bn (Lead).

Los Angeles, December 26, 2018 : ."Spider-Man: The Way Home" was the pandemic-eras first movie to surpass $1 billion in global box office sales after "Star Wars: the Rise of Skywalker", which is now out of production.

This year, it is the highest-grossing movie, surpassing Chinas "The Battle at Lake Changjin", ($902M) and James Bonds 25th film ("No Time to Die"), which grossed $774M globally.According to "Variety", Sonys comic-book masterpiece has crossed the threshold in 12 days.

This is a record time, and it tied 2015s Star Wars: The Force Awakens for third place.The fastest films, 2018s Avengers: Infinity War and 2019,s Avengers: Endgame, were faster, achieving the desired tally in just 11 days and five days respectively.Reporting the figures, "Variety" commented that these were huge box-office receipts in a period when many new movies (such as "The Matrix Resurrections", "Sing 2," and "The Kings Man") are opening across the country to record ticket sales.
