Lucknow, November 22 : .The Samajwadi Party issued a circular asking its cadres to renew their commitment to the party’s constitution.

It is based upon the democratic, secular, and socialist framework of Indian statute.This date, which falls on November 26, is celebrated as the “Samvidhan Diwas” (Constitution Day).
According to the SP Constitution, Chapter 2 addresses the party’s aims and objectives.The SP also talks about opposing any state that is based on religion.

This also emphasizes preferential status for women, Schedule caste, minorities, and the backwards.

This SP circular is issued days after Allahabad High Court declared that the Uniform civil Code was necessary and asked the Central government immediately to initiate its implementation.

The HC observed the 17 interfaith marriage petitions, filed by couples who converted to Christianity, and seeking protection under Article 21.

A party functionary stated that party leaders, workers and officers in all districts of the state would observe Constitution Day, November 26, on the orders of chief Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav.This will allow them to reaffirm their promise to respect section 2 and the spirit and Indian Constitution.

Section (1)-Chapter 2 of the party constitution states that the party will be steadfast in its belief and devotion to the Indian Constitutions.

Its very foundation, which is a democratic secular socialist framework.A party that supports decentralisation in financial and political governance is an integral part of its administrative structure will be supported by the party.

Section (2) discusses parties’ determination to oppose the idea that a state is based upon religion.It also bars anyone supporting or propagating the idea, in whatever form or shape, from becoming a party member.

The section (3) discusses preferential treatment for women, minorities, and backwards.Finally, the final and last section deals with SP workers who have complete faith in the Indian Constitution.
