Hyderabad, Aug 12 : The Secunderabad-Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express has been restored for operations with the addition of one Vistadome coach.It is the first time Vistadome coaches have been installed on any train that is under South Central Railways (SCR).
Within the initial couple of days of its debut, the train received a huge reception with an average of of 64 percent, SCR said.
The glass-topped top offers a large windows passengers can now see the stunning scenery on their journey as the train travels across the Ananthagiri Hills along the Vikarabad-Wadi section.
On the way, passengers can also enjoy the Ujni backwaters and dams near Bhigwan which is known for the abundance of migratory and inshore birds.
In addition to having a roof made of glass as well, the Vistadome coach comes with a variety of additional features, such as wide windows with LED lights, rotatable , pushback chairs, electric-operated automatic sliding compartment doors as well as wide sliding doors to the side and so on.
Train No.12026 Secunderabad-Pune Express leaves Secunderabad at 14.45 hours (except Tuesday) and arrives in Pune at 23.10 hours the following day.
