Smoking cigarettes on plane : Minister demands investigation

New Delhi, Aug 11 : Union Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has ordered an investigation into the incident of one person who, in violation of rules smoking a cigarette in an aircraft."Investigating it.

We will not tolerate for the risky behavior," Scindia tweeted on Thursday in response to a blog post that shared the video.The person who was arrested is a social media influencer.

Sources have claimed that the footage is of the Spicejet flight departing from Dubai to New Delhi in January this year.A suitable action was taken by the security of aviation.

A few days ago an earlier video of smoking in the plane was shared by Uttarakhand MLA Umesh Kumar.Carrying lighters or matches on aircrafts is not permitted.

Passengers must go through security checks prior to their arrival on the aircraft.A number of reactions have been poured onto Twitter in relation with the viral video of smokers inside the plane.

The users demanded action by the authorities , including the aviation regulator DGCA."Sir this is such brazenness , and makes a an mockery of the entire aviation safety and rules.
