Small but important as a bookmark: Parthiban on his ‘Ponniyin Sevan 1’ role

Chennai 8th September : The well-known Tamil actor Parthiban has revealed that his role in director Mani Ratnams highly anticipated magnum opus, Ponniyin Sevan 1, may be small , but its just as important as the bookmark in the pages of a book.

She is the commander in charge of the Tanjore fort, Parthiban said: "My character is just as important as that of an article that serves as bookmarks." In explaining the meaning behind what he was referring to, he said: "When we read a book we often fold over the top edge of the page to indicate the point at which weve stopped reading it.This mark, which typically assists a reader in resuming their reading from there in fact, splits the text into two pieces.Similar to my character in this film although small is significant.
